While browsing the web Sunday night for a marketing article to read about, I stumbled on an article titled The Future of Small Business Marketing. The title really brought me in at first because in the BA 223 principals of marketing we are trying to build a marketing plan for a local small business and I thought that this article might help out a bit. This article was a very interesting read and is an essential read to many small business owners. The article states that 46% of small businesses don't even own a website and those that do list gaining new customers as their second biggest concern. Creating a web page and doing digital advertising is essential in today's market. In a market that is getting harder and harder to be seen in, your company needs to be alive and greeting new visitors. Many small businesses are struggling to overcome change, which is extremely important in today's market with how quickly everything is changing. Something that all small businesses need to start with is just creating a website that will engage people and guide them easily to where they want to go. Also, they need to create a mail list and start tracking people's data such as; email, birthdate, what the view on the website, etc. This will help learn your target and gear your advertisements to them. One of the easiest ways to reach people is by sending them a discount code on their birthday.
